Attention car lovers! Looking for a great way to kick start your Fourth of July weekend? We here at Castle Mountain Lodge have the perfect idea to get you and your family in the fourth of July mood. Located a five-minute drive away, into the heart of downtown Estes Park, is the 15th Annual Coolest Car Show. Enjoy a fun-filled afternoon in Bond Park from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on July 4. There will be more than 120 cool cars including hot rods, sports cars and even fire engines.
This annual event is a fundraiser put on by the Estes Park Museum and admission into the event starts at $5 per person. Children under the age of 5 are admitted for free and families of four are admitted at a discounted rate of $10 (each additional family member is an extra $2).
This is the perfect atmosphere for families looking to have a great time in Estes Park. There will be delicious food from local businesses as well as a popcorn station provided by Heavenly Popcorn. There will also be face painting booths
Howdy partners! Get your cowboy hats and boots ready for the Rooftop Rodeo taking place the second week in July! The event will take place at the Fairgrounds at Stanley Park, located at 1209 Manford Avenue, which is only a seven-minute drive from Castle Mountain Lodge.
The rodeo kicks off on July 9 and continues through the 14. It features some of PRCA’s finest athletes showing off their best stunts! This event is great fun for the whole family with events including bull riding, mutton bustin’, calf scrambling, hilarious rodeo clowns and so much more! You can also buy tickets for the Behind The Chutes Tours, which is your chance to venture out to see where all the action happens, meet contestants, get an up-close look at the arena and equipment, and meet and see the livestock and rodeo clowns! Gates open every day at 5:30 p.m. There is a variety of vendor booths to browse and great food and drinks to enjoy in a true Western atmosphere!

Come one, come all to enjoy Estes Park’s newest attraction! The town of Estes Park’s free shuttle system kicked off its eighth season June 21 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new downtown trolley. The trolley is among many upgrades to the 2013 shuttle season. Estes Park is very proud and can’t wait for all the visitors to use and enjoy this attraction! While staying at the Castle Mountain Lodge in beautiful Estes Park, you can take a short drive to the downtown area, which is only a few minutes away from the lodge. Even if you don’t have a place to go, riding the trolley will be sure to amaze you as you coast through downtown and take in all of Estes Park’s beauty and luxuries!
The trolley leaves the Estes Park Visitor Center and runs a continuous loop from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. The Gold Route travels west into downtown with stops at Bond Park/Town Hall, Local’s Grill, the Ore Cart Rock Shop, Tregent Park, West Park Center, and Maxwell Inn before turning around and stopping
