A hint of fall is in the air! Yes the days are still hot, summer does not seem to want to give up this year, but the cool evenings and even a few golden leaves signal the coming change of seasons. The magnificent bull elk are parading in their proud glory and soon will be contesting for the right to mate with the cows. Thanks to our neighbor Jay Collins for catching this guy in front of our Homestead cabin. Several days ago I heard what I thought was the first bugle but have heard nothing else so I await that signal that Fall is at hand. Fall is such a beautiful and peaceful time in the mountains.
