Imagine yourself on vacation in one of the most beautiful places on Earth, with blissful views of surrounding mountains and the sounds of nature all around you. Where are you located? None other than the beautiful town of Estes Park located by the famous Rocky Mountain National Park. Estes Park may be a very small town with a population of only 5,000 but it has nothing small to offer!
There are endless things to do and see in the Estes valley, from shopping downtown to taking a leisurely drive through the Rocky Mountains; you will never get bored while vacationing here! While staying at the Castle Mountain Lodge, you will find that downtown Estes Park is only a few minutes’ drive away. We also provide a shuttle service that brings you right into the heart of downtown! There are so many shops and restaurants that it takes an entire day to see and browse through all the fun and creative stores and eat at some of the best restaurants in the state.
Estes Park has more nature to see in one day than many have seen in their entire lives. The elk and deer are plentiful in this area and are often seen grazing on the golf courses, crossing the road, and if you are here during the Fall rut, you can see the male elk vying for females to add to their harem. Many visitors in Estes Park come here purely for the nature, but please be aware that all the animals in Estes are considered wildlife and should be treated as such. The Estes Park News created a video reminding visitors and the people of Estes to be cautious and aware that these animals are wild and are in no way tame and can be very dangerous!
Many people around the country don’t know about Estes Park or where it is located, but once they find out and come here for a fun filled vacation with so much stuff to see and do, they find themselves wanting to come back, year after year!
