Howdy partners! Get your cowboy hats and boots ready for the Rooftop Rodeo taking place the second week in July! The event will take place at the Fairgrounds at Stanley Park, located at 1209 Manford Avenue, which is only a seven-minute drive from Castle Mountain Lodge.
The rodeo kicks off on July 9 and continues through the 14. It features some of PRCA’s finest athletes showing off their best stunts! This event is great fun for the whole family with events including bull riding, mutton bustin’, calf scrambling, hilarious rodeo clowns and so much more! You can also buy tickets for the Behind The Chutes Tours, which is your chance to venture out to see where all the action happens, meet contestants, get an up-close look at the arena and equipment, and meet and see the livestock and rodeo clowns! Gates open every day at 5:30 p.m. There is a variety of vendor booths to browse and great food and drinks to enjoy in a true Western atmosphere!
It’s a great time to bring your family and friends up to Estes Park and enjoy one of Estes Park’s most famous events. Children of all ages are encouraged to attend, as there are many things to see and do at the rodeo. People from around the state, country and world attend the famous Rooftop Rodeo, which has been an attraction in the Estes Park area for more than 65 years.
The Rooftop Rodeo parade will be taking place in the historic downtown on Tuesday, July 9 at 10:30 a.m. Make sure to get out there early because the sidewalks will be filing up with eager visitors ready to scream out “yee haw” and catch some candy! Once you’re all “cowboy-ed” out for the day, you can come back to Castle Mountain Lodge, relax and enjoy all the views our resort has to offer!
